Corunna Public Schools issued the following announcement on April 27
Dear Cavalier Community,
Here is today’s update:
- Free & Reduced Meal Applications If your household situation has changed recently, please take a few minutes to fill out a free/reduced application at www.lunchapp.com This could, in turn, make you eligible for some of the new Pandemic benefits that the state is offering and provide funding for your school for this year and next. This new application will carry over for 30 days into the new school year. Please take a moment to fill it out; it could mean nearly $200 a month for benefits for each of your children! You read that right -- simply filling it out could mean nearly $200 a month of benefits for each of your children. So, please please take a few minutes to fill out a free/reduced application at www.lunchapp.com
- Lesson pickup Please be reminded that if you chose paper packets for your child, you will be able to pick those up on either Wednesday or Thursday of each week through the end of the school year (June 2, 2020). Please note, we have made a slight change in the pick-up times.
- PK-3rd Grade at Elsa Meyer (Times: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) - At the main entrance using the bus loop.
- 4-7th Grade at the Middle School (Times: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) - Use the parent pick-up/drop-off loop.
- 8th Grade - 12th Grade at the High School (Times: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) - Student parking lot (east lot) - doors by the media center.

- College fair All 15 Michigan Public Universities have come together to host Promoting the Publics: Michigan Spring College Fair. The fair will take place May 5-7 and we will all be "live" during the following dates and times:
- May 5: 11 a.m. -2 p.m. EDT
- May 6: 2-5 p.m. EDT
- May 7: 5-7 p.m. EDT
- Foundation tickets Today is the LAST day to purchase a Foundation ticket. They are $60 and the drawing will be 6 p.m. Wednesday. Please email me if you would like to purchase one (or more).

- COVID cases in Shiawassee County As of 2 p.m., yesterday, (information is updated at 2 p.m. daily), there are 130 known cases of COVID-19 in the county (and 7 COVID-19 related deaths). If you are aware of someone who is showing symptoms, you are to reach out to the Shiawassee County Health Department (989) 743-2460 and they will investigate. The following Coronavirus site provides the most up-to-date information (updated daily at 2 p.m.). Finally, here’s a link on what to do if you’re sick.
