Shiawassee County Health Department ssued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The Health Department is releasing numbers early this week because our office will be closed on 11/11/2020 in observance of Veterans Day.
Please see the below for this week’s COVID-19 update. We’ve seen a large increase in cases over the last week and cases have been increasing steadily over the last two months. Please do not attend work, school or public places if you feel sick or are having symptoms. It is important for county residents to wash their hands often with soap and water, wear a mask, and socially distance by staying 6 feet away from others.
If you are waiting on COVID-19 tests results, please do not go to work, school, or public places. If you do receive a positive result, please stay home for 10 days, monitor your symptoms, and notify your close contacts (someone that has been less than 6 feet for more than 15 minutes 2 days prior to symptom onset or 2 days before test collection if person is not showing symptoms).
