We are excited to introduce Ruthann Liagre as our new interim executive director! She’ll be with us until we complete our new strategic plan early next year and determine what we will be looking for in a permanent director.

Ruthann brings significant experience in human resources and nonprofit. She is also an active volunteer for several organizations who have benefited from her seasoned wisdom. Our board and staff are very excited to have her helping steer the ship as we continue to rebuild after a challenging year.

Ruthann will oversee the day-to-day operations of the chamber, represent SRCC in the community, manage personnel, and oversee member relations and events. She will work closely with the staff to ensure the organization’s mission of connecting leaders and supporting entrepreneurs to build an extraordinary Shiawassee region is met.

In addition to having been the vice president of human resources for Memorial Healthcare for almost six years, Ruthann also served on the Shiawassee Community Foundation board. She is currently on the SafeCenter and Memorial Healthcare Foundation Auxiliary boards. Ruthann is also a volunteer with Lebowsky Center for Performing Arts. She and her husband, Phil, were honored this summer with Lebowsky’s Outstanding Volunteer Award. Additionally, Ruthann was our ATHENA International Award recipient this year.
