3. Owosso Public Schools team members care for students in the classroom and beyond. Owosso Middle School staff members donated funds to provide 15 Thanksgiving meals inclusive of turkey, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry jelly, butter, and a pie for OMS students and their families.

4. It’s not every day that elementary students get to have a turkey dinner for lunch and see their principal and school resource officer do the Chicken Dance in a chicken and an egg costume! Central Elementary students were bursting with excitement yesterday as Principal Spielman and Officer Schmitz did the Chicken Dance for the whole school as part of their Positive Behavior Intervention System golden ticket rewards. Central set a goal to fill a tank to the halfway mark with golden tickets that list a student doing something positive.

5. The OHS Virtual Enterprise Inc. (VEI) students competed in the 2022 Midwest Regional Conference and Exhibition in Chicago this week. “O-Town, Inc.” placed in the top 10 in the E-Commerce Division. VEI offers students authentic collaborative, immersive business, and entrepreneurial experiences. Students enjoyed the vast learning opportunities at the conference and got to sightsee in Chicago.
