We’ve had a few calls from people stating that an Officer David Spencer from Corunna Pd called them and said that the person or spouse has a warrant for their arrest. They then instruct the person to go purchase gift cards and to call them back with the gift card numbers.
THIS IS A SCAM!
No police agency will ever call you to pay a warrant fine over the phone especially with gift cards.
Please pass this information along to your elderly family members, friends and neighbors. They seem to be the target for the scammers!!!
