A video recorded earlier this month by a resident's Ring doorbell was recently shared with the Owosso Police Department.

City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.

A video recorded earlier this month by a resident's Ring doorbell was recently shared with the Owosso Police Department. The video can be viewed here: https://neighbors.ring.com/n/VWbo30lFNZ 

The video shows three individuals checking car doors in an Owosso neighborhood. The individuals enter an unlocked vehicle, then attempt to open a car door near the house but walk away after discovering the car door is locked. If you recognize these individuals, please contact the Owosso Police Department at 989-725-0580. 

In December 2020, the Owosso Police Department partnered with Neighbors by Ring in an effort to reduce crime in our community. This app allows us to inform the community of real-time crime and safety events. The Neighbors by Ring app allows you the user, to share valuable information directly with us. You do not need a Ring device to participate. Anyone with a camera system can upload content to the Neighbors app.
