Corunna Public Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
Michael was first hired in August of 2019. He is a full-time EDUStaff day custodian at Corunna High School. “I am proud to work for Corunna Public Schools as a graduate of CHS. I take pride in my work by helping to maintain a clean and safe school for the staff and students, especially during Covid. I feel like I am just doing my part as a member of the team,” said Michael.
“My favorite best day was the day I found out I was cancer free, ” said Michael.
“One thing you may be surprised to learn about me is that I drove cross country on my motorcycle, taking 28 days to complete the 8000 mile trip,” said Michael.
Michael said, “I have three things on my bucket list, to travel to Ireland, ride to Maine on my motorcycle, and skydive.”
Michael said, “The one thing that sets Corunna apart from other districts is the sense of family and that everyone cares about what they do.”
“I will always remember the day that I watched the removal of a skunk family from school grounds and watching everyone trying to avoid getting sprayed,” said Michael.
“The person that most positively influenced me was my dad. He taught me to be a hard worker and take pride in what I do,” said Michael.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys riding his motorcycle, volunteering and going to concerts.
