City of Owosso issued the following announcement on July 29.
Final work on the 2020 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract will begin on Friday, July 30, 2021. Contractor crews will be on site at various manhole locations through the City. Work includes minor fixes to the brickwork and resetting manhole covers. Another crew is scheduled to arrive on Monday, August 2, 2021 to clean and coat the inside areas of some of the same manholes. Most work will be done in the middle of city streets. The work areas will be protected by signs and barricades so as to allow moving traffic to safely pass by the work areas.
Motorists are asked to abide by traffic rules and give workers clear space to perform their work. Citizen questions or concerns should be sent to the Public Services Department by calling 989-725-0550.
