Retaining Wall Project next to City Hall

City of Owosso issued the following announcement on July 22.

On July 6, 2021, work began on the retaining wall along the James S Miner Riverwalk, adjacent to City Hall. 

The existing stone wall was demolished and the area excavation was completed within a few days. During excavation, City Engineering evaluated existing conditions and recommend sheet piling along the excavation that is adjacent to Main Street (M-21). The Contractor will continue work beginning the week of July 26, 2021. Sheet piling will be driven during that week and then the Contractor will continue with the wall construction. All work is expected to be completed on or before October 1, 2021. Any questions regarding the work may be directed to the City Engineering Department by calling 989-725-0550.
