Shiawassee County Health Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
Please see below for this week's COVID-19 update. We are sad to report 5 additional deaths in our community. Please do not attend work, school or public places if you feel sick or are having symptoms. It is important for county residents to wash their hands often with soap and water, wear a mask, and socially distance by staying 6 feet away from others.
If you are waiting on COVID-19 tests results, please do not go to work, school, or public places. If you do receive a positive result, please stay home and isolate for 10 days, monitor your symptoms, and notify your close contacts (someone that has been less than 6 feet for more than 15 minutes 2 days prior to symptom onset or 2 days before test collection if person is not showing symptoms).
