CITY OF OWOSSO: Water Filter Drive-Thru to be held Nov. 13

City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.

The Shiawassee County Health Department will be distributing free lead reducing filters if your household has a child or pregnant woman and are not able to afford the cost of a filter. A drive through pickup will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2020,

between 1pm and 3pm in the Comstock parking lot behind the JC Penney building.

Pick-up Requirements:

- Home is connected to City of Owosso water supply (receive water bill)

- A pregnant woman, or child(ren) aged 18 or below live or frequently visit the home

- Someone in the home receives WIC benefits or Medicaid, or confirms that they cannot currently afford the filter

- Household has not already received water filter through previous drive-thru or City Hall pick-up
