City of Flushing recently issued the following announcement.
The DPW will begin Fall Leaf collection the week of October 19, 2020. Residents on Main Street should not rake leaves into the road, but into the right of way between the road and sidewalk or curb. There is no set day when your leaves will be collected, city office staff does not know where the truck is, or when it will be in your neighborhood. The DPW will make as many trips around the City as possible before the end of the service the week of Thanksgiving. Please be patient and know that your leaves will be collected.
