Michigan Insurance and Financial Services issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
In accordance with Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order No. 2020-154, the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is holding a virtual public hearing Sept. 16, 2020, to receive public comments on Administrative Rules for Good Moral Character, Rule Set 2020-18 IF.
The virtual public hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16, 2020. Members of the public may join the meeting at its start time by clicking the Microsoft Teams link or by calling 248-509-0316 and entering the conference ID number, 620 303 566, followed by # when prompted. The hearing will take place virtually to preserve the public’s health and safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the deadline to submit written public comments is Sept.16, 2020 at 5 p.m. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to submit written comments on the draft rules either by email to EstradaM1@michigan.gov or by postal mail to the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services, Office of Research, Rules, and Appeals, P.O. Box 30220, Lansing, MI 48909-7720.
