City of Corunna recently issued the following announcement.

City Curbside Refuse Pickup Specific Requirements (Beginning July 6, 2013)
Containers and Dumpsters: Republic Services will provide one (1) ninety-five (95) gallon cart to each owner-occupied home that chooses to use this service and to every rental dwelling of two (2) units or less for the provision of all normal household solid waste placed curbside for collection. All refuse/trash/garbage must be placed in thirty (30) gallon bags in the provided cart. Should the resident have more garbage than will fit in the cart, residents are permitted to place extra bagged garbage next to the cart for collection at no extra charge. Extra bagged garbage may be placed beside the curbside cart before 7:00 a.m. the morning of collection, or placed in another container beside the Republic cart after 7:00 p.m. the night before collection.
Collection: Carts shall be placed reasonably close to the street, if possible next to the driveway, no later than 7 a.m. each Friday and no earlier than 7 p.m. on Thursday. Cart handles should be facing toward the house and away from the street to allow for automated pick-up. After collection, containers must be removed promptly away from the street by no later than 7 p.m. on the day of collection. If a federal holiday falls on a weekday, garbage collection for that week will be postponed from Friday to Saturday.
If garbage was set out in time for pick-up, but was missed, call Republic Services at 800-438-0966 as soon as possible to arrange for pick-up. Please do not call Corunna City Hall for missed pick-ups.
Bulk Items: Republic Services will provide bulk item collection to all cart customers. Each homeowner/renter is allowed one (1) bulk item per week to be picked up for free along with their regular garbage pick-up. The bulk item cannot be more than four (4) feet in length or weigh over fifty (50) pounds. Contact Republic Services at 800-438-0966 with questions, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.
