Baker College of Owosso issued the following announcement on June 1

Congratulations to Baker College team member, Carol Boyer, a Disability Services Specialist, who recently was honored with the Margaret A. Chmielewski Award from the Michigan Association on Higher Education and Disability (MI-AHEAD).

The award is given to a MI-AHEAD member who demonstrates outstanding leadership, a warm sense of humor, commitment, support of the disability community and the pursuit of personal development in postsecondary education.

Carol serves as a Disability Specialist for Baker College, working to provide equal access for students with disabilities.  She is committed to creating an atmosphere of inclusion, which sees disability as a form of diversity that contributes to making Baker College a broader, richer community.

We are so proud of the work Carol is doing, and her recognition is well-deserved.  All of BC’s students and staff are lucky to have her on our team!
