Notice: To protect the health, safety, and well-being of our community and prevent the spread of COVID-19, this event has been canceled.
This event will help you to better understand how barriers are created. Barriers are factors in a person’s environment that limit their ability to function. Such barriers can even create a disability for the individual. Some examples include:
- Physical environments that are not accessible.
- A lack of relevant assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices.
- Services, systems, and policies that are either nonexistent or that hinder the involvement of all people.
