City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Oct. 17
Update: On October 17, 2019, Detectives from the Owosso Police Department determined the death investigation to be a homicide. The victim has been identified as Kevin Parker, a 47-year old resident of Owosso.
The suspect in this case has been identified and the case remains under investigation.
On October 16, 2019, Owosso Public Safety officers responded to the 300 block of Dewey Street for a report of a possible deceased subject with a second subject who was injured. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male in the residence and a female with serious injuries. The female was transferred to Memorial Hospital for treatment, she is currently in critical condition.
Detectives from Owosso Public Safety responded to the scene and initiated a criminal investigation due to the suspicious nature of the death.
